This tour is operated on a 12 person RIB speedboat with suspension seats for extra comfort. 


Setting sail from the old harbour in Reykjavik, only minutes away from the city center, you will embark on a 1 hour long puffin watching journey. 



Puffin Island, near Reykjavik, is home to thousands of adorable puffins. Visit this picturesque sanctuary in summer and enjoy the sight of these playful birds against stunning coastal views.

What is included


Look at the weather forecast beforehand and dress accordingly. It can always feel a bit colder when you are out in the bay. Cold weather suits are provided on board but it's always a good idea to have warm clothes underneath. 

What to bring

The meeting time is 30 minutes before departure at the ticket office in the Old Harbour. Detailed information can be found on your ticket.

The tour is dependent on weather and sightings cannot be guaranteed. In the event that there is no sighting you will get the chance to come again for a free retry. There is no refund if there is no sighting. 

Passengers with heart or back problems, as well as pregnant women, are not permitted to join the tours on RIB speedboats. 

There is no free parking in the harbour, but there are plenty of pay-to-park spots and a parking garage nearby. There is also a free parking area in the next harbour (5 min walking distance), and the staff is happy to direct you there if needed.
